Summer 2010 – Success Story for South Kintyre
Active Schools in South

took more than 120 hits throughout the summer months, with a
variety of sports on offer targeting pupils in P1 – P7:

of the volunteers and coaches who gave up their time to

18th August
2010 - Campbeltown Bowling Club - Two Bowl Pairs
Week commencing 2nd August saw
the Club in collaboration with the Argyll BC to hold the
inaugural Jimmy Stewart Memorial triples that was rotated
between the two greens. |
 |
|
A good entry of 20 triples,
largely dominated by Stronvaar, was whittled down to the
final on the Friday night between Jim Morrison (Argyll),
Gavin Muir and Alistair Munro and Robert Hendrie, Hugh
Newlands and Joe Brown. On a miserable, wet night on the
Argyll green, Jim, Gavin and Alistair got off to a flying
start with 8 shots in the first end and they dominated the
match from then on to run out easy winners. Sorry I don't
have a photo of this one. |
