SKSC Mini Bus
In March
2008 the Sports Council took delivery of their new 17 seater
Ford Transit mini bus having raised nearly £25,000 in just
under 1 year. This was a tremendous
effort by the committee and once again demonstrated the
generosity of the people of Kintyre who supported this
campaign. (more detail on this to follow)

new mini bus.
To hire the Sports Council mini bus your organisation must
be fully paid
members of the Sports Council (click
here to find out more) and the driver must have a
D1 on their driving licence.
Please contact Malina McAulay on 01586 552922
to book the SKSC mini bus.

Note please - With effect from 1st April 2010 the
hire of the bus has been increased by £5 to £60. This
will help to cover the increasing costs associated with
running the mini bus but is still £5 cheaper than the hire
charges we had for the old bus in 2007. The insurance
for the mini bus alone is £127 per month so hires are vital
to keeping the bus on the road.

The following local
businesses agreed in 2008 to sponsor the Sports Council's
new mini bus for three years generating an income of £2,750
each year.
This will ensure the mini
bus can be hired at a level which covers basic running costs
whilst ensuring funds rise each year towards the replacement
of the mini bus in 5 years time.
The Sports Council wishes
to express their gratitude to Argyll Buildbase, McKinven &
Colville, The Tasting Room (Springbank), Livingstone &
McEachran and McFadyens Contractors. Your support is
really appreciated by everyone at the Sports Council and our
member clubs! |
