Campbeltown
Running Club is a new friendly club in Kintyre for people who
enjoy running and interested in being part of a group regardless
of running ability. The aim of the club is to help improve
members' running, giving advice and support to fellow runners as
well as providing a friendly social aspect to the sport.
Campbeltown Running Club will be affiliated to Scottish
Athletics which will give lots of benefits to members including
the possibility of gaining club entries to major races including
the London marathon. To join for this year you can fill in a
form from the Aqualibrium or Intersport or download from
www.campbeltownrunningclub.com
You don't need to come to all the training nights to be part of
the club but if you would like company to run and the motivation
of running as a team come along and try it out before joining.
Training
nights will be informal and all are welcome - Tuesdays and
Thursdays at 6.30pm at Aqualibrium as well as some long slow
runs planned for the weekends usually at 9am every Saturday from
the Aqualibrium.
We also have
a handicap race series on the last Tuesday of the month during
the summer - more information on this can be found at
www.kintyreforum.com.
