Benefits to Clubs

Membership of South Kintyre Sports Council entitles your club to a number of benefits, including

• a forum to promote ideas, and to raise and resolve issues and problems

• support and representation for the view of ALL sports clubs in South Kintyre

• a collective voice with which to make representations on issues of concern; to Argyll & Bute Council, our local Council, local and/or national bodies

• a focus to collate together the sporting community

• website listing on the Member Clubs page

• access to the Sports Council mini bus at subsidised rates

• assistance to member clubs through funding provided by South Kintyre Sports Council

• advice and guidance on club funding

• assistance with the development of coaches

• assistance with competitions and events

• advice on club set-up, administration and finance

• a focus on raising the profile and development of sport in South Kintyre

• close working partnership with our local authority, Argyll & Bute Council

Responsibility of Member Clubs

South Kintyre Member clubs are expected to be involved in the work of the sports council, since they run it!  The Sports Council is your Sports Council and can only represent the views of your clubs if you are involved.  We meet on a monthly basis and dates of our meetings and past minutes can be found here.
