The objectives
of South Kintyre Sports Council shall be: -
| a)
To promote interest and participation in sport in
Kintyre; |
| b)To
assist local amateur sports clubs, organisations and
individuals by arranging courses and displays for the
improvement of performance and the training of leaders,
coaches, referees and judges; |
| c)To
encourage with the assistance of Argyll and Bute
council, school pupils and school leavers to participate
in sporting activities; |

d)To
publish and distribute, as considered desirable, up to
date information on local sports clubs, organisations,
activities and facilities; |
| e)To
liaise with SportScotland and Argyll and Bute Council in
all matters relating to the development of sport in the
area; |

f)To
further the foregoing objects by raising funds,
organising such activities and taking such action as the
sksc may deem appropriate. |

| The
sksc shall be a non-sectarian and non-denominational, as
such is committed to equality of provision, access and
benefit of those members irrespective of race, colour,
age, nationality, or ethnic or national origin,
religion, sex, sexuality, martial status or disability. |
